Events in Brief

Over twelve years we have implemented a large number of successful conferences in both countries, organized export oriented exhibitions, mobilized high level delegations, worked with the government providing special first time incentives, issued reports and technical studies and initiated and even implemented several technical assistance projects, all that was way beyond the role of a council, we acted as a chamber in the absence of one.
We are proud to be the only bilateral council that met, at a high level, at least once every year if not more, and had such a host of activities.
We are grateful for the Government of Egypt that has always listened and acted in support of our various initiatives, and timely solved most of the problems of Japanese companies.
We are grateful for the Government of Japan for the support they have availed over the years. Swaying from METI to MOFA, from JICA, to JETRO to JBIC to NEDO to JCCME; all who have supported our strategic workplan, with emphasis on the promotion of trade, investment, technology transfer and training as well as tri-lateral cooperation which is the future of our joint cooperation, we are grateful to the Japanese side of the council, its chairman Dr. Umeda, the president of Kajima corporation, its distinguished members who have always availed the time to meet, travel, and participate in our joint initiatives. Naturally the efficient secretariat performed by the Japan and Tokyo chamber was crucial in our success.
